 General

Alcohol is not usually recognized as a drug, however the abuse of this substance is very common. Alcohol sale, purchase, and/or consumption by anyone under twenty one is illegal.

Effects

 In addition to the effects shown in the picture above alcohol slows function of the central nervous system which results in difficulty walking, slowed reaction times, and impaired memory. Alcohol poisoning can occur when a large amount of alcohol is consumed in a short time period. Alcohol poisoning can cause extreme sleepiness, seizures, difficulty breathing, unconsciousness, and even death.
